	Sunday March 25, 2018 This is not an advertisement, like for years when I have gushed about my Teslas. But I was impressed with Sleep Number yesterday. A few months ago I started to see adds for new types of beds so I did some research. Actually all these new types of beds have been around for many years but since I was not in the market for a new bed I had not been looking. We stopped by a local place and looked at innerspring beds since that has been what we have been sleeping on for all our life. Pat and I are interested in a bed that raises our head so we can read more easily. The innerspring bed we saw at this local store was two twins side by side so there is a gap in the middle. Sure there was an option to just have a king that raises both Pat and my sides at the same time, but we figured that would not work because some of the time one of us wants to read and one of us wants to fall a sleep. Yesterday after I dropped Pat off on a plane to Arizona for her trip with her sisters, I stopped by Sleep Number. The beds there are air beds and are easily individually adjustable according to firmness on both sides. They also have a split base that individually raises either side, but where this bed was different, the base is one section so there is a gap only in the front. It is hard to explain so look it up. Pat was also concerned about putting on the clean sheets with an innerspring bed. Well at Sleep Number beds have special sheets that are easy to put on and do not require moving two twin beds apart to put on sheets. After I pick up Pat on Wednesday from the airport, we will head on to our local Sleep Number store and see if Pat is in agreement to purchase our first new bed in over 30 years. We have not raised prices for over 10 years even though our costs have gone up for everything, especially the price of bottles, labels and packing materials. I do not want to pay the government any money if I can, so most of the profits go to our personal taxes (The winery buys the grapes from Pat and I, we own the vineyard), so this Winery Corporation has been breaking even........... We are now paying taxes to all the states in this nation. Because we have permits we are requested to ask our customers to pay their state's sales tax. I am sure some wineries charge your state tax when you purchase wine, because if they ship direct to their customers, they have to send the sales taxes to the states. It is the wineries responsibility. For years we have not charged our out of state customers sales tax. We absorb the tax and send the tax to the states each month. This is very expensive! I Pay a nice lady $400 a month for the service, but that does not include the tax SO just think, two thirds of our sales are out of state so 6 to 9% of our sales is a lot of money. We now are offering $20 shipping for a case of wine to any state. It costs us as much as $50 to send a case across the country. We also decided to not charge our customers sales tax in California. The reason for that is we would be punishing our loyal local customers who in the past have only paid $20 to $25 to ship a case of wine. For these reasons we have raised our prices a little. I believe we may actually be receiving a smaller profit now, because we have decided to charge the same amount for all our new Pre-Harvest Futures which will be coming out in a week. That means Block 4 will be the same price as all our other wines, including 10 Month and 16 Month. I feel very good about all this........enjoy...........  Saturday April 7, 2018 This has been an interesting week................I love the stock market................ As most of you know this is about my documenting what is important to me...........I enjoy what I live.......... So I tell every thing abut my finances so this is easy for me. We can get into wine later. OK, Tesla, TSLA is an obsession for me, but I am a lover of fast cars, I had two Corvettes like I said and two Porsche before I was 30 so I could go on but you know what I Like, Tesla is by far the best I have ever driven.............. I mostly still have my base of 400 shares of TSLA, Tesla. I have bought and traded many times and done well.... SO most people quoted on the internet think TSLA will fail..............Tesla will fail, it is depressing for me to see posts who from people, 90% say Tesla fill fail, Tesla does own a lot of debt Like I have said I was a credit annalist on the 42 nd floor in San Francisco in 1969. Yes the Bank America Building opened in 1969. I got into the stock market and can not get it out of my system.............where many people I know, like Elon Musk and my daughter, they like video games, yes a lot safer than playing the stock market, Elon has more problems so I digress......... Some of you are not interested in the Market so skip if you want........... Last week, maybe 10 days ago I sold 150 share of TSLA at a loss of $1500, it was a hard decision, but I also sold all my Amazon and Googl shares, all at much higher prices than now. I made a lot of money, long term on Amazon and Google. Like I have said, Amazon was valued less than Google so I put most of my money in Amazon, now I am happy I did. Now AMZN is valued the same as Google. I kept my core 400 shares of TSLA. So a week ago I started buying back some TSLA for a trade at 298 and bought it all the way down to 248. Thursday and Friday I sold all of the 350 shares I was trading at an average price of 301. My cost was 267 so a nice short term profit. I am now back to 90% in cash. I know some of you have been signing up at our new site. My daughter Susanne has brought us into the 21st century. We have some problems so we are hoping to straighten them out this weekend...........   8:00 Pm: I am thinking about many things, I could go on for an hour...........so.....one My Mother is an on going situation so no need to step up. My sister and brother in law have always been an adventure, but we are trying to find enough money for my Mother to have around the clock caregiving............ So tonight Pat will look at the Giants game and I will look at politics and watch the Worriers game and then the giants game........it will be fun Wednesday April 11, 2018 Again it is an interesting week, but since I sold most of my stock, I feel fine for that reason......... Only a few of you know I have been stressed for a month!!!! I found out before I reach my 75th birthday I had to take a written test at the DMV to renew my right to drive an auto. Today I went down to the DMV and that is along story, I could not believe how many young people were in line, about 50 to 100 people waiting without an appointment. I had an appointment and it still took me over an hour to get up to the nice lady who could help me. I know most of the these young people could just go down the street and buy a rifle but they had to spend hours at the DMV to receive a license to drive. No license is required to buy a gun. So for the last month I have been studying to take the test. In the past when I have taken the written DMV test I have missed several questions but always barely passed. This time it was a touch screen. It started with 18 questions and I was amazed, they were much easier than what I studied for one month and I got all of them right, 18 out of 18 and I was told I passed and did not have to answer any other questions.. I was very relieved............ Thursday April 12, 2018 I have mentioned many times to friends ......I think Trump will kill him self. I am sure others have predicted this but I have not looked. Trump is not going to like if he is impeached, He probably would be stressed but deal with that but when all this stuff about women finally comes out, he may not be able to deal with it, I can always hope, I feel so sad So the big event will be here later this year when my first born, Kate will get married, hey I would like to invite everyone, seriously but Kate and Pat and Bryan will keep me in control. Friday April 13, 2018 Like I have said before I am old now. I try my best but I am sure I did better 30 years ago............I will soon be 75 I went down to see my mother 100 miles away, round trip 5 hours driving. I am concerned because everytime I go down to Millbrae it is an adventure. I came home by Golden Gate Park and I should have gone down that way. i could give you a wonderful route.......... ...........there are so many motorcycles darting in and out and then when we get on a freeway..........younger I see!!!, drivers in small cars dart in and out. I tried to stay in the fast lane, but sometimes at 75 miles an hour I have to move over. Where are the Highway Patrol........... My Mother was better than the last time, she was alert for 40% of the time and then she would sleep. It is hard for me Trump?? I can always hope
