Weeks 47-48
November 18, 2001 to December 1, 2001 

	Tuesday, November 27, 2001 We have lost another cat. Cupid is gone. This one was tough because I found him on our lawn stretched out obviously attacked by another animal, but not cut. We have suspected for years that one of our long time cats could be responsible for many of our losses. Something has to be done to end this. I have not posted any diary entries, mainly because I have been involved with our computer problems. We still have Starband for our internet access, but because of a new modem from them and new software, we are especially having trouble sending and receiving mail. I have spent atleast 5 days trying to resolve this problem. In the mean time I have had time to record all our 187 barrels into Excel and make an approximate blend for our new wines. We will be making 985 cases of Estate Cuvee and 985 cases of Estate Zinnfandel. We have a tank that will hold 1050 cases, but after settling  and loss from evaporation, we will only bottle 985 cases. I don't think I need to buy a new tank to hold more wine even though we  could make more zin this year. I only want to make a wine  that can be bottled in one lot thus one tank containing the exact wine. I will post the possible percentages in the next few days. The final percentages and thus blends will be determined before the end of  the year.
