Week 8
February 17, 2002 to February 23, 2002 

	Saturday, February 23, 2002 This is a diary mostly of wine related matters, but also of of other important things that effect my life. So, I must mention the death of a girl on Pat's side of the family. This young lady of only 18 years was killed in a single auto accident in Modesto, Ca, Wednesday morning. It has been hard for Pat and I to function clearly since then, since we know her parents (pat's first cousin) so well. Kate our 16 year old daughter has taken it the hardest, probably because she has been driving on her own for 8 months. She now senses how fragile life is. It will be hard for all of us to travel to Modesto Monday to pay our respects.
