99 Petite Syrah
    Keith McCoy, October 8, 2001

I was getting together with my wine group, and thought about bringing something a little different when a Coffaro Petite popped into my mind. Now a 99 Petite is usually something that is a little beastie, so I called Dave to ask him what he thought. He said that he had been drinking it for a year and that it was more in the Cabernet style than Petite. He was right. We taste everything blind,  and the general consensus was Cab.  It was soft and approachable and drinking well right now. I would have to say though if you are looking for the usual beastie, dark ink, enamel removing Petite Syrah,
you have to look somewhere else.
