Sunday July 29, 2012

I know I got carried away last night criticizing the British and I apologize if I offended any of you. I know I said I dislike British movies. I did like a few. Here are the ones I did like not necessarily in order.....Alfi, Lawrence Of Arabia, The Third Man, 39 Steps, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Doctor Zhivago, A Clockwork Orange, Educating Rita, A Hard Days Night, Goodbye Mr. Chips, Goldfinger, Elizabeth, Blowup and maybe the best of all Gandhi. There are others but as you see I did like a few.

Last night I did get to see McCartney sing Hey Jude, it brought back great memories.

It has been 60 hours since I took a pain killer and I see no difference in my pain so I will continue to refrain.

Wednesday August 1, 2012

I am still doing well without pain killers.

We finally got Scott from Sonoma County out here to take a look at the addition. Scott was the inspector on the original building where the wine is stored now. As you know from the past I am really surprised someone from the county finally came out when we called for an inspection on our electrical. He was very nice and asked if we were addressing the issues regarding the ADA and firebreak. We told him yes so we can now insulate and sheetrock and put in lights in the addition. We should be able to use the building to custom crush for Bruce, The Wine Guerrilla. I am guessing we will not hear from the County again, but I could be wrong.

9:00 Pm: Again it has been a dramatic few days. Tonight i am happy..............will probably take a vacation.

Go back if you want if you are not familiar with my dispute with Sonoma County. As i said earlier the dispute is hopefully over....so obviously I am happy.

Yesterday was another case in Livermore at the PS I Love You symposium.  Many important people were there. I figured it still would be easy to speak but the night before I was concerned because I found out I had to talk about viticulture instead of any thing I wanted. I was clueless....this was an event devoted to Petite Sirah and no one was interested that I am a winemaker now and not devoted entirely to petite sirah growing, I tried to say I had a passion for winemaking and growing petite sirah but I think I mentioned zinfandel too much.

I was a failure to most but I know a few were interested I grew, Peloursin, Sirah and Durif.

Tomorrow is another day........
